10 Ways To Have a Better Conversation

I haven't thought much about what goes into having a conversation with someone, it just happens. I mean, it's the same thing as a text message, do you really think about what makes a good conversation with someone? In her TedTalk, Celeste Headlee discusses the 10 rules to have a better conversation and to be a better listener. She said a lot of things that stood out to me and made me think about how I should apply them to my own life. One thing she said was to enter every conversation like you have something to learn. Usually that isn't something you would like about going to talk to your best friend or family member, but if you really took the time to listen and learn, you would take something out of each and every conversation. Another flash point that stood out to me was that everybody is an expert in something. You shouldn't go into something thinking you already know everything there is to possibly know about something. You always can learn something from someone. To check out this amazing TedTalk click here !
